PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive unit in which a wind noise caused by rotation of a disk where data are recorded can be reduced by exhausting air in a disk drive unit. SOLUTION: As shown in Fig. 4, when a recording disk 10 is placed on a disk tray 3 and housed inside a unit case 2, the recording disk 10 is rotated at high speed by a spindle motor 17 in reading data from the recording disk 10 or in writing data to the recording disk 10. In association with that, the wind noise in reading and writing data can be reduced by starting the operation of an exhaust pump 5 exhausting air inside the unit case 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
