PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store, with a simple operation, data stored on a storage device on an external medium matching to the storage capacity of the external medium for backup. SOLUTION: A storage capacity information acquisition section 101 acquires storage capacity information on a medium 2 for backup connected to an I/F 180. A data extraction section 102 extracts the data stored on the medium 2 for backup from the data stored on an HDD 170 matching to the storage capacity information.
