PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a coating liquid for an intermediate layer of an electrophotographic photoreceptor capable of maintaining a state similar to the initial state even after long-term storage or long-term use; an intermediate layer of an electrophotographic photoreceptor excellent in film uniformity even when the coating liquid is used after long-term storage or long-term use; an electrophotographic photoreceptor free of occurrence of an abnormal image such as a surface stain or black spots even in long-term repetitive use and providing a good image excellent in environmental stability, by producing a photoreceptor using the coating liquid; and an electrophotographic apparatus and a process cartridge with the electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: In the method for preparing the coating liquid for the intermediate layer of an electrophotographic photoreceptor containing N-alkoxymethylated nylon, the N-alkoxymethylated nylon is dissolved in a coating solvent under heating and filtration is carried out with a filter having an effective pore diameter of≤3μm.
