PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a standard sample for a spark emission spectral analyzer capable of acquiring highly reliable analysis data, when analyzing a metal including a nonmetal inclusion by the spark emission spectral analyzer. SOLUTION: This standard sample for the spark emission spectral analyzer having a nonmetal particle dispersion layer 2 formed by dispersing nonmetal particles on the surface of a sample body 1 comprising a metal has a characteristic wherein a density distribution of the nonmetal particles dispersed in the nonmetal particle dispersion layer 2 is 100-25,000/cm<SP>3</SP>.
