PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a work for holding an axial member which is a collimation object of a surveying apparatus in the optional state. SOLUTION: An indicator body 12 equipped with a tilt sensor 34 for detecting a tilt angle of a leveling rod 16 with respect to a horizontal plane and a display unit 20 for displaying a detection result by the tilt sensor 34 on a display screen is mounted on the leveling rod 16 through a band 14. The tilt angle is set at 15 degrees by operation of an angle setting button 28, and one end side in the axial direction of the leveling rod 16 is set at a survey point. When adjusting inclination of the leveling rod 16 at the survey point, the tilt angle detected by the tilt sensor 34 is displayed on a screen of the display unit 20, and an installation work for setting the inclination of the leveling rod 16 at 15 degrees can be performed easily by adjusting the inclination of the leveling rod 16 so that the displayed tilt angle becomes 15 degrees.
