PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing method of a workpiece polishable into a desired luster surface such as a mirror surface, by improving surface roughness of a processing surface 10 of the workpiece by using an existing abrasive and a blast processing device, without using a special abrasive and a grinding liquid. SOLUTION: This polishing method is characterized by guiding a jet so as to flow along the processing surface 10 of the workpiece, by sucking the jet, by generating the jet of the abrasive by injecting the abrasive into the processing surface 10 of the workpiece together with a compressed fluid. Since the jet can be guided so as to flow along the processing surface 10 of the workpiece by sucking the jet of the abrasive, the processing surface 10 can suitably be polished while restraining the formation of a satin finished surface-like recess-projection on the processing surface 10, and since the jet is accelerated by the sucking, processing efficiency and a processing speed can be improved.
