PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable sponge blast device and a sponge blast construction method, easy in preparatory work, without receiving restriction of an installation space, while restraining cost. SOLUTION: This portable sponge blast device 10 cleans a cleaning object surface 20 by injecting a sponge grain 4 at a high speed by compressed air; and is composed of an injection apparatus 1 for mixing and injecting the supplied compressed air and the sponge grain 4, and a sponge grain vessel 2 for storing the sponge grain 4 supplied to the injection apparatus 1 via a hose 3 and separated from the injection apparatus 1; and sucks the sponge grain 4 to the injection apparatus 1 from the sponge grain vessel 2 by putting a sponge grain suction port 12 of the injection apparatus 1 under negative pressure by injecting the compressed air at a high speed from the injection apparatus 1.
