PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve processing accuracy, by accurately positioning a work or a tool in the radial direction, without changing a position in its rotational axis direction, when holding the work or the tool in a chuck device. SOLUTION: This chuck device 11 has a chuck body 23. A receiving hole 25 extending in the rotational axis 16 direction is formed in a tip part of the chuck body 23. A peripheral wall 27 of the receiving hole 25 is divided into a plurality of parts by slits 29 extending in the rotational axis 16 direction in the tip part of the chuck body 23. The chuck body 23 is fitted in an installation hole 21 formed in a tip part of a main spindle 13, and is fixed by a fixing means. A lever part 31 extending outward in the radial direction is arranged on the respective peripheral walls 27 of the receiving hole 25 divided into the plurality of parts. The peripheral wall 27 of the receiving hole 25 connected to the lever part 31 is brought into pressure contact with the work or the tool 15, and is held in the receiving hole 25 by pressing the lever part 31 in the rotational axis 16 direction by a lever part pressing means.
