PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten metal feed nozzle with which the fracture of a strip is avoided. SOLUTION: The edge part of the nozzle is provided with an elongated body 11 of which the lower side part is dipped into a molten metal reservoir, and which projects toward a side gate 2 in such a manner that the range of the stagnation in the free liquid level of molten metal disappears. The elongated body 11 is given a shape like a quadrangular pyramid laid sideways and converges on a point P1 near the side gate 2. In the molten metal feed nozzle, since the range of the stagnation in the free liquid level of molten metal is replaced with the elongated body 11 connecting to the edge part of the nozzle and the formation of an unnecessary solidified shell is suppressed, an required solidified shell as foreign matter is not inserted into a solidified shell produced on the circumferential surfaces of cooling rolls 1 and forming a strip, thus the fracture of the strip caused by the expansion of a roll gap can be avoided.
