PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cement-based molded item which has a decreased residual styrene content and is produced by molding and hardening a cement-containing W/O emulsion composition. SOLUTION: The cement-based molded item is produced by molding and hardening a cement-containing W/O emulsion composition at least containing cement, water, a styrene-containing oily substance, an emulsifier, and a polymerization initiator. The polymerization initiator is a compound or a mixture of at least two compounds selected from among t-hexylperoxy 2-ethylhexanoate, 1,1-bis(t-hexylperoxy) 3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexane, t-butyl hydroperoxide, t-butylperoxy 2-ethylhexanoate, and t-butylperoxy isopropylmonocarbonate.
