PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the workability without applying the self weight of a rear cushion as a force in the direction of bending to a sliding section. SOLUTION: An engine 20 is mounted on a car body frame 2, and a link mechanism 24 is provided between the car body frame 2 and a rear arm 21. The rear cushion 25 is supported by the engine case 29 of the engine 20 and the link mechanism 24, and rear wheels 23 are freely movably suspended vertically through the rear arm 21 for this saddle riding vehicle. The upper end of the rear cushion 25 is supported by the rear section 29a, which is also the upper section 29b, of the engine case 29, and the lower end of the rear cushion 25 is supported by the link of the link mechanism 24. The link of the link mechanism 24 is arranged at a lower position of a rear arm pivoting section 5g of the rear arm 21, and the sliding direction of the rear cushion 25 is approximately vertically arranged.
