<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-strength refractory product with a controlled porosity without lowering its productivity by decreasing its drying energy by lowering the drying temperature and shortening the drying time. <P>SOLUTION: The high-strength refractory product is obtained by using a binder composition containing (A) a phenol resin such as a resol type phenol resin or a novolac type phenol resin, (B) a solvent mixture prepared by mixing at least two solvents of which the difference in boiling points is 20-100°C and each of which has a boiling point in a range of 110-250°C, and (C) refractory aggregate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
