<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting device for an edible dried seaweed bundle, which cuts the dried seaweed sheet bundle in a manner of minimizing the amount of discharged seaweed chippings and exhibiting a beautiful cut edge. <P>SOLUTION: According to the cutting device, a seaweed bundle mounting stand 2 on which the seaweed sheet bundle N is mounted, is slid to pass through a rotary round blade 3 fixed at a constant location, and the seaweed bundle is cut. Even if the thickness of the dried seaweed bundle is large, the cutting device efficiently cuts the bundle so as to exhibit the beautiful cut edge. The rotary round blade (3) is a double-edged or a single-edged blade but not saw teeth, and hence the amount of chippings of the dried seaweed discharged at the time of the cutting is not large, to thereby protect the cutting environment from being degraded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
