<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a turbulent flow of cooling air from generating in an air cooling space where a light valve unit is housed. <P>SOLUTION: An optical unit device for a projection type display apparatus is constituted so that four blow guides 61A, 61B, 61C, 61D are disposed in a vertical state in four corner portions 41a of an air cooling space 41 where a light valve unit 24 is housed, and three cooling air discharge ports 60R, 60G, 60B opposing to an upper part of cooling air blowing ports in lower three spots are formed in an outer periphery of a filter holder holding a filter 45 for preventing dust from dropping. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
