GLOW STARTER AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glow starter having a short discharge delay time without using a radioactive substance and improved in a dark start characteristic. SOLUTION: This glow starter 1 is provided with: a vessel 2 with a discharge gas enclosed therein; a first lead wire 3 and a second lead wire 4; a movable electrode 14 attached to at least one of the first lead wire 3 and the second lead wire 4; and a glass member 15 mounted to at least one of the first lead wire 3, the second lead wire 4 and the movable electrode 14 and containing cesium; and has a contact part where at least one of the first lead wire 3, the second lead wire 4 and the movable electrode 14 is brought into contact with the cesium constituent of the glass member 15.
