PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that makes it easy to clean the ice tray of an automatic ice maker, while making it possible to assemble, repair and inspect the automatic ice maker. SOLUTION: This refrigerator-freezer is provided with the automatic ice maker in which the ice tray positioned in a freezing temperature room is rotated by a motor mechanism to drop ice in the ice tray downward. A water container for retaining ice-making water in cold state for supply to the ice tray is provided. All the portions of the refrigerator-freezer that are in contact with the ice-making water, from the water container to the ice tray, are washable. This solves the problem of there being no techniques about the removal and washing of the portions splashed with ice-making water, including a water passage leading to the ice tray in the automatic ice maker for a refrigerator, in view of the fact that, although some versions of the ice maker allow removal of the ice tray while leaving behind in the refrigerator the motor mechanism part that rotates the ice tray, the motor mechanism part that rotates the ice tray is left behind in the refrigerator.
