PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a race for a thrust needle bearing capable of securing a long service life. SOLUTION: A resize punch RP is made close to a material C having a flange part C2, and it is abutted and pressed to the tip of a bent part C1 to generate plastic deformation.
