PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbocharger capable of sufficiently supplying lubricating oil to a contact face with a shaft side in thrust direction of a thrust bearing while maintaining supply pressure of lubricating oil to be supplied to the thrust bearing at low pressure. SOLUTION: In this turbocharger, a main oil supply passage 38 in which an oil supply port 38a faces an outer peripheral face of a shaft 17 (17a) and a first auxiliary oil supply passage 39 and a second auxiliary oil supply passage 40 being independent from the main oil supply passage 38 are formed in the thrust bearing 26. An oil supply port 39a of the first auxiliary oil supply passage 39 is opened at a position being eccentric on a turbine wheel side of the thrust bearing 26, and an oil supply port 40a of the second auxiliary oil supply passage 40 is opened at a position being eccentric on a compressor wheel side. The first and second auxiliary oil supply passages 39, 40 are opened or closed in accordance with travel of the shaft 17 (17a) in thrust direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
