PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet post-processing apparatus capable of preventing a paper ejection tray from being dropped, and maintaining a stopped state when the power is suddenly interrupted or when an unexpected external force is applied to the paper ejection tray. SOLUTION: The sheet post-processing apparatus comprises a moving belt means 71 which is driven by a motor means 72 and coupled with a paper ejection tray 70 to be moved upwardly or downwardly, a first gear means 75 to be rotated by the movement of the moving belt means, a second gear means which is a one-way clutch gear 78 with the rotational direction limited to one direction, and a third gear means 76 in which a shaft core is a spring body 77, and displaced between the first gear means and the second gear means, the gear means are coupled with each other and turned, and the displacement is returned by the electromagnetic attractive force of a solenoid means 79 by the conduction to uncouple the respective gear means.
