PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load of processing for informing a computer of a fault of a storage system. SOLUTION: At the time of detecting a fault, a storage system 100R specifies a storage system 100L capable of communicating with the storage system R and transmits fault information to the storage system 100L. The storage system 100L receiving the transmitted fault information transmits the fault information to a storage system 100P by similar processing as the storage system 100R. The storage system 100P capable of communicating with a host computer 200 receives the transmitted fault information and then informs the host computer 200 of the received fault information.
