PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof case in simple packing structure that sufficiently and securely displays waterproof performance even when a camera etc., is stored in a case and carried during scuba diving, diving using a snorkel, etc. SOLUTION: The waterproof case has an elastic gasket arranged at an opposition contact edge where a primary case body housing the camera etc., and a lid body which can be opened from and closed to the primary body are airtightly closed. The gasket is made annular and while its longitudinal section is formed substantially in a lateral T or L shape by forming a projection piece projecting sideward to a base part in one body, the opposition contact edge of the case which is closed has a raised surface and a reception surface which engage each other and are different in direction. The base part of the gasket is engaged with and arranged on the raised surface in a near staircase shape of the case opposition contact edge and the projection piece is arranged to be mounted on the reception surface.
