PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus constituted so that the contamination and the life of a discharge electrode can be easily discriminated. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 has the discharge electrode 33 for performing corona discharge to the surface of a photoreceptor drum 31 and a grid electrode 37 provided along the extending direction of the discharge electrode 33.
