PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor that is free of the occurrence of image defects, superior in durability and having high sensitivity, by improving the solubility of the hole transport agent in a solvent so that crystallization on the surface of a photosensitive layer is prevented, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: A compound represented by Formula (I) is incorporated as the hole transport agent, wherein Ra and Re are the same group or different groups and each denotes alkyl, aryl which may have a substituent, alkoxy or halogen; Rb, Rc and Rd are the same group or different groups and each denotes H, alkyl, aryl which may have a substituent, alkoxy or halogen; Rf and Rg are the same group or different groups and each denote H, alkyl, aryl which may have a substituent, alkoxy or halogen; and X<SB>1</SB>and X<SB>2</SB>are each a specified group.
