The coaster (1) contains a device (4) for weighing the bottle or glass on top of it and generating an electric signal which is sent to an integral circuit (6) and if the bottle or glass is determined to be empty then an optical signal is generated. A battery (2) is incorporated and a moisture-proof inlay (5) protects the electronic components.
