HYDROPHILIZING AGENT FOR HYDROPHOBIC POROUS FILM AND METHODS OF HYDROPHILIZING AND INSPECTING HYDROPHOBIC POROUS FILM WITH THE SAME

A hydrophilizing agent for hydrophobic porous films characterized by containing a surfactant which has such frothing properties that a 0.1 mass% aqueous solution of the surfactant has a froth height of 40 mm or lower as measured immediately after frothing at 25°C by the Ross-Miles method (JIS K 3362). Preferably, it further has such frothing properties that the froth height as measured at 5 minutes after frothing is 20 mm or lower. Also provided are: a method of hydrophilizing a hydrophobic porous film which comprises using the hydrophilizing agent; and a method of inspecting/hydrophilizing a film module which comprises using the hydrophilizing agent.
