<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent hitting interferences of dots mutually overlapping in a sub scanning direction and adjacent to one another, and to form images at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with a liquid droplet ejection head 50 with a plurality of nozzles, a relative movement means 33 which relatively moves a recording medium and the liquid droplet ejection head 50 in the sub scanning direction by making the liquid droplet ejection head 50 scan a plurality of the number of times to the recording medium, a fixing time specifying means 91 which specifies a fixing time of a dot unit to the recording medium, a droplet hitting order setting means 92 which sets a droplet hitting order of the dots in the sub scanning direction at least on the basis of an overlapping degree of the adjacent dots in the sub scanning direction, and a droplet hitting time difference setting means 93 which sets a droplet hitting time difference between the adjacent dots in the sub scanning direction so that the droplet hitting time difference between the adjacent dots in the sub scanning direction becomes not smaller than the fixing time of the dot unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
