<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology supplying EGR gas of appropriate temperature according to an operation condition of an internal combustion engine in an exhaust gas recirculation device for the internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with an EGR cooler 23, an EGR cooler side passage 27 provided with the EGR cooler 23, a bypass passage 22 bypassing the EGR cooler 23, a change-over valve 24 regulating quantity of EGR gas flowing the EGR cooler side passage 27 and the bypass passage 22, and a heat accumulating means 26 exchanging heat with EGR gas flowing in the EGR cooler side passage 27 and exchanging heat with EGR gas flowing in the bypass passage 22. Heat is give to EGR gas from the heat accumulation means at light load when temperature of EGR gas need to be raised and heat is taken away from EGR gas by the heat accumulation means at heavy load when temperature of EGR Gas need to be lowered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
