<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image printer capable for setting fixing conditions that are optimum for a recording medium of arbitrary material quality. <P>SOLUTION: The image printer is equipped with a test-purpose image data storage section 53 which stores the test-purpose image data, arranged with blocks of a plurality of test patterns varying in toner density; a correction value storage section 54 which stores the data of the correction value of the fixing conditions, each time the individual blocks in each block attain proper maximum toner density in fixability when the occurrence of fixability defects in each block of the test-purpose image implemented with fixing processing; a correction mode processing program storage section 52, which stores the program of the processing contents of the fixing conditions correction mode in correcting the fixing conditions of the toner image; an operation input section 51 which can select the fixing condition correction mode and the correction value; and a controller 30 which prints the image for test and corrects the fixing conditions in accordance with the inputted correction value in selecting the fixing condition correcting mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
