<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anaphora resolution system realizing appropriate anaphora resolution without applying excessive load to the system. <P>SOLUTION: The anaphora resolution system 2 is provided with an anaphora resolution pre-processing part 12 converting an input text into a form suitable for anaphora resolution, an anaphora resolution object detecting part 13 detecting an anaphor and a plurality of antecedent candidates for the anaphor from the input text whose form is converted, an antecedent identification part 14 analyzing an anaphoric relation between the anaphor and the plurality of antecedent candidates for the anaphor, an anaphora resolution inspection part 18 inquiring a degree of the anaphoric relation of an outer resource 50; and an anaphora adjusting part 19 adjusting the anaphoric relation based on the degree of the anaphoric relation.
