<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and intuitively make a plurality of elements (character strings, images, moving pictures, voices and hyper links to other documents, or the like), which lie scattered in a document, hierarchical. <P>SOLUTION: It is regarded that a plurality of elements constituting a document have a logical hierarchical relationship as existing in a tree displaying area 400. In the figure, each element in a partial tree whose root is an element "AAAAA" and each element in a partial tree whose root is an element "FFFFF" are each displayed, in a nesting state, in the frame area 401a and frame area 401b of an element display area 401, respectively. When the frame area 401a, for example, is dragged and dropped on the frame area 401b on the displayed screen, the partial tree in the frame area 401a can be incorporated directly under the root of the partial tree in the frame area 401b. That is, the relationship between "FFFFF" and "AAAAA" is changed to a parent-child relationship, and the relationship between "GGGGG" and "AAAAA" is changed to a brotherly relationship. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
