<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device whereby a quantitative measurement on eye dominance can be carried out, and a diagnosis adaptable for a monovision method by using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The method is intended to determine the quantity of eye dominance, in which a set of binocular rivalry stimulative figures consisting of bright and dark fields is simultaneously presented to both eyes (a dominant eye and a non-dominant eye in sighting) of an examinee in a state of both visions being separated. While the contrast of the binocular rivalry figure presented to the non-dominant eye in sighting that has been already identified in advance is being fixed, the contrast of the other binocular rivalry figure presented to the dominant eye is varied in stages or in sequence until the perception of the binocular rivalry stimulative figures by both eyes becomes equivalent, when the contrast value determines the quantity of the sensory eye dominance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
