PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten vane chattering time when starting a vane rotary type compressor to suppress noise. SOLUTION: A gas collection space 27a being larger than a vane back pressure chamber 17 when a vane is extended to the maximum extent is provided in a first gas supply passage 27 for communicating the vane back pressure chamber 17 with a high pressure fluid part except an oil collection part. By suppressing reduction of pressure in the vane back pressure chamber 17 when the vane 4 is extended when compressing, it is possible to shorten vane chattering time and avoid phenomenon of the defective compressor.
