PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet post-processing apparatus which is miniaturized and capable of preventing a printing surface from being stained even when performing the post-processing. SOLUTION: The sheet post-processing apparatus comprises a standby tray to make sheets to be ejected from an image forming device stand by, a processing tray to stack the sheets to be ejected through or not through the standby tray, a post-processing mechanism which has a longitudinal alignment mechanism and a transverse alignment mechanism, and post-processing the sheet bundle aligned by these mechanisms, and an ejection tray to eject the sheet bundle post-processed by the post-processing mechanism. The longitudinal alignment mechanism has an upper longitudinal alignment roller and a lower longitudinal alignment roller. The upper longitudinal alignment roller and the lower longitudinal alignment roller hold the sheets dropped from the standby tray and are rotated in a reverse direction when rear ends of the sheets are guided to a rear end stopper, and only the upper longitudinal alignment roller is rotated in a reverse direction when the sheets ejected from the image forming device are guided to the rear end stopper without passing through the standby tray.
