PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat for an automobile wherein positions of a backrest part and a headrest can be changed and adjusted forward when a seated person is small. SOLUTION: The headrest 16 is provided on an upper end of the backrest part 13 of the seat 11 for the automobile. Divided pieces 13b divided from other parts 13a are formed on an upper front surface of the backrest part 13. The divided pieces 13b are constituted so as to be arranged in a normal position P1 constituting a part of the backrest part 13 with the other parts 13a, and in a front position P2 separately constituting the backrest part 13 in front of a lower part of the other parts 13a. The headrest 16 is constituted so as to be arranged in a normal position P3 on an upper end of the backrest part 13, and in a front position P4 in front of an upper part of the backrest part 13.
