PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire wear monitoring device capable of preventing a big accident due to bursting of a tire by monitoring tire wear while a vehicle travels and consequently, easily grasping timing of exchanging the tire while the vehicle travels. SOLUTION: This tire wear monitoring device 1A to monitor wear of a tread surface 9 of the pneumatic tire 3 is constituted by burying a different color rubber member 6 for wear monitoring having a color different from rubber of a tread rubber layer 5 on a bottom part of the tread rubber layer 5. It is furnished with a picture image reading means 10 installed on the vehicle 2 and to read a picture image of the tread surface 9 and a display means 13 to display the picture image of the tread surface 9 read out by the picture image reading means 10.
