PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink storage body capable of efficiently using stored ink, while shifting a proper quantity of ink to a marking line via an outer layer from an inner layer without requiring difficult operation, in the ink storage body of an ink line marking unit having the inner layer for storing the ink and the outer layer for shifting the ink to the marking line. SOLUTION: This ink storage body is installed in the ink line marking unit, and supplies the ink to the marking line 2, and has the inner layer 6a for storing the ink and the outer layer 6b for shifting the ink to the marking line 2, and is constituted by interposing a transmission member 7 for transmitting translation of the ink to the outer layer 6b from the inner layer 6a so as to block up an ink feeding hole 5c, by forming a partition wall 5b having the ink feeding hole 5c between the inner layer 6a and the outer layer 6b.
