PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope shape detector capable of accurately detecting a shape by not being easily affected by the noise of drive signals, or the like. SOLUTION: For a signal processor 17 incorporating a transmission block 26 for supplying the drive signals to a source coil 14i arranged inside the insertion part 7 of an endoscope and a control block 27 for performing the timing control of the supply of the drive signals and a shape processing for displaying an endoscope shape, or the like, by separately forming a reception block 21 for amplifying signals received by a sense coil 22j which detects a magnetic field, or the like, and generating the signals for calculating the position of the source coil 14i, the influence by the noise of the drive signals, or the like, is suppressed, the magnetic field is detected in the state with an excellent S/N (signal/noise), and the endoscope shape is accurately displayed.
