The lock has a catch (4) equipped with and pivotable on a guide bearing, to bring it into its ratchet position where it engages with a catch bolt (3) and keeps the bolt in its locked position. The force of the bolt lifts the catch up, to then release it. The catch has a contact element (10) with which it engages the bolt, positioned to come into contact with a counter bearing, so that essentially the whole opening force (10a) of the bolt is directed via the contact element onto the counter bearing.
