<p>A mobile communication system is configured so that a data transmission side device re-transmits a transmission data block according to a transmission acknowledgement signal transmitted from a data reception side device. The data reception side device includes: a maximum number-of-retransmissions management unit for managing the maximum number of retransmissions of the transmission data block; and a transmission acknowledgement signal transmission unit configured so that no transmission acknowledgement signal is sent when the number of retransmissions of the transmission data block has reached the maximum number of retransmissions.</p>
