PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further surely prevent short circuit between electrodes by using a resin film, having thin and long fine holes for a separator and setting the long axial direction of the fine holes to be at angles crossing the direction in which the separator is rolled. SOLUTION: A resin film is extruded into a cylindrical body, and a large number of thin and long fine holes 11 are formed by extruding the cylindrical body in the axial direction to give ion permeable property and after that, the resultant film is cut spirally so as to give a strip-like one continuous film to be used as a separator 10. The long axial direction of the fine poles 11 is controlled to form approximately 45 deg. with respect to the longitudinal direction of the separator 10. Being sandwiched between a positive electrode plate 12 and a negative electrode plate 13 to keep the electrode plates 12, 13 from direct contact with each other, the separator 10 together with the electrode plates 12, 13 is rolled to a prescribed length, and a cutter 14 of a cutting apparatus is moved to cut the separator 10, the positive electrode late 12, and the negative electrode plate 13 altogether. The splits started from the fine ports 11 of the cut put are at approximately 45 deg. in the rolling direction and win not winden. |
