PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To focus the entire object having depth. SOLUTION: When an object is selected by touching a part of an object image desired to be focused to with a finger or the like, while the object image is displayed on an LCD, and CPU detects the touched position (step A1) and the touched position of the object is focused (step A2). Succeedingly an object selected based on the touched position is recognized (step A3), and an object distance at plural positions of the object (S) to be recognized is measured (step A4). Furthermore, whether or not the object distance values at plural points which are measured have any difference is discriminated (step A5). In the case that the object distance values at the plural positions have differences as a result of the discrimination and the object has a depth, the aperture is controlled is accordance with the maximum difference of the object distance values (step A6). |
