PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder in which application of pressurized air to an ink cartridge is released immediately when the recorder takes an attitude inclining or tilting by a specified amount or more. SOLUTION: An on/off valve unit 41 is connected with an air passage between an air pressurizing pump and an ink cartridge. Under a state where an electromagnetic plunger 51 is conducted, a valve member 42 in the on/off valve unit 41 is opened forcibly to eliminate abnormal pressurized state. Under a state where the electromagnetic plunger 51 is not conducted, the on/off valve unit 41 functions as a pressure regulation valve for keeping the pneumatic pressure within a specified range. When the recorder takes an attitude inclining or tilting by a specified amount or more, a tensile spring 53 acts to open the valve member 42 in the on/off valve unit 41. |
