The digital word image processing technique calculates a first discrete transform from digital words and a second transform from adjacent digital words, with a global transform calculated from a concatenation of the first and second assemblies. A real maximum frequency is determined from transferred digital words from the global transform. A detection process is carried out on the comparison grid between the real maximum frequency and the predicted maximum frequency on a portion of the digital image input.
