The piglet nest (1) has a dividing wall (2) placed in a sty (3), of which at least one part (12) is movable to an open position, to provide access to the sty. The nest can be provided with bolting devicse engaging on the movable wall part, with freeing devices acting on the bolting devicse. The piglet nest can have operating equipment (15) working in conjunction with the movable wall part in order to move it at least to the open position. The bolting and freeing devices and/or the operating equipment can be activated by a connected control unit. The aim of the arrangement is for the suckling of piglets (B), with them being taken away from the sow after birth and placed behind a dividing wall. After a specific time has elapsed, the opening (13) in the dividing wall is freed, so that the piglets can have access to the sow. The dividing wall comprises a central part (4) and two side parts (5), joined by hinges (9) with side edges (10).
