A Grip-Cut Tool comprises two shear bodies co-acting via a means of motion (e.g. a pivot hinge), wherein each shear body incorporates a cutting edge blade, a means of handling and an integral gripping/holding component, the two shear-bodies being arranged such that the active gripping surfaces of the first body are complementary to and fit against the active gripping surfaces of the second body when the tool is in the closed position, the Gripcut tool being characterised in that at least part of the gripping surface/component of the first shear body intersects with and exists in the same plane containing at least part of the cutting edge of the first shear body (i.e. all or part of the cutting edge of the first shear body borders/acts as a boundary to part of the gripping component of the first shear body), and further characterised in that no part of the cutting edge of the second shear body intersects with, or acts as a boundary to the gripping component of the second shear body. |
