<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly transmit a welding laser beam to a position of welding regardless of an optical strain caused by the heat of laser beam transmission optical system and transmission space. SOLUTION: Before bringing in the hot rolled slabs 1, 3 to a position of welding, by transmitting a reference laser beam LR to the position of welding through a transmission optical path P, by adjusting beam transmission adjusting means 43, 45 so that a welding point is irradiated by the reference laser beam LR, after that, by bringing in the hot rolled slabs 1, 3 to the position of welding, and by correcting a thermal effect caused by the hot rolled slabs 1, 3 which passed just before the bringing-in, and butt welding is performed to the hot rolled slabs 1, 3.</p> |
