The drying method has drying air at a variable temperature supplied to the textiles (5) during their movement, with monitoring of the textiles moisture content, the temperature of the drying air and/or the intensity of the textiles movement reduced when the moisture content drops, e.g. in proportion to the drop in the moisture content. An Independent claim for a device for drying textiles is also included.
