The family of seven-speed transmissions has six torque transmitting clutches (50,52,54,56,58,59) which provide interconnection between three gear sets (20,30,40), two fixed interconnections, an input shaft (17), an output shaft (19) and a transmission housing (60). The torque transmitting clutches engage in combinations of three to establish at least seven forward speed ratios and a reverse speed ratio. |
