Fungicide mixtures of tin cpds. and cyclic bis dithiocarbamates. Mixtures of a Sn compound of formula (C6H5)3SnLX n- A n+ (I) (in which X = Cl, Br or CNS, A = substituted ammonium-, phosphonium- or sulphonium- cation, n is either 0 or 1, and L = Cl, Br or CNS where n = 1, and a ligand with an electron donating gp. of the type triple bond N right arrow O, triple bond P right arrow O or =S = O where n = 0) and an alkylene, bisdithiocarbamate of formula: (in which R = H-, or CH3- and Me = Zn, Mn or Fe or mixtures thereof) are useful fungicides. The ratio of compounds (I to II) may vary between 5:1 to 1:1 and the phytotoxicity of (I) is greatly diminished by the presence of (II), due to synergism. In an example, in which tomato plants were treated with an aqueous suspension of 1015 ppm Decafentin (Triphenyl-decyl-phosphonium- triphenyl-brom-chlorostannate ), the incorporation of 20% Maneb (II, Me = Mn) in the Decafentin, reduced the attack three-fold, as measured on the biological scale of the Bundesanstalt. |
