The couplings (9, 10) are supported over zones near the joined edges (6, 7), i.e. leading and trailing edges of the belt. The coupling components are supported on transverse threads (5) of the belt. - The belt includes longitudinal and transverse threads (2, 4). Longitudinal threads (3) are connected to transverse threads (5) at crossing points (e.g. by adhesion). They lie flat together and have a flat formation. They are formed by several stacked layers, alternating in direction (transversely and longitudinally). Two or more transverse threads support the connecting component at an end of the belt. These threads are mutually-adjacent. A number of coupling components may be arranged along an end edge. Support by the transverse threads is provided in the crossing zone with the longitudinal threads. The design, its variants, developments and alterations are further elaborated in accordance with the foregoing principles. Salient features include proposed coupling components, which may comprise rods, links, hinges, paired sections, hooks, or magnets. |
